Studio Name: Stranded Glass

Years Lampworking: 8.5 years
Birthday: November 19th

A little about Gail:
Gail grew up in north St. Louis County where she attended Berkeley High School. She then went to college in Springfield, Missouri for one year before getting married to her wonderful husband. After living in Springfield for another eight years, the Croziers decided to move back to the St. Louis area. Over the next 20 years, Gail was lucky enough to become a stay-at-home mom and watch her two wonderful children (Aaron and Marissa) grow up.

As far as hobbies go, Gail is always interested in settling down with a good book, watching movies, plays, dance and of course....art!

At each stage of Gail's life, she's found herself interested in various art mediums. From macramé to cake decorating to photo book covering and even t-shirt dyeing, she's done it all! Gail even tried her hand at bead stringing, but was never able to find the shape of bead she wanted in the color she wanted. Frustrated, Gail's eyes found a lovely lampworked bead while at a local bead store. Instantly she thought, "I can do that! I can make my own beads!" Gail's search for a class on beadmaking soon began (using the old-fashioned phone book), until she found someone doing a demo at the Laumeier and St. Louis Art Fairs. From there, she signed up for a class at the City Museum and finally discovered "what she wanted to be when she grew up!"

Gail sells her work at various art shows around the St. Louis area, and will even travel within a six hour radius to attend some shows! She typically attends 20 shows a year, but has lately been pursuing wholesale accounts in hopes of doing fewer retail shows. At this time, Gail does not currently sell her work online via eBay or JustBeads.
