A little about Ray:
Ray, who is originally from Orlando, Florida, obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in sculpture from the University of Florida in 1983. Right after college, in 1984, he started his career with Anheuser-Busch. 15 years later, Ray transferred from Florida to St. Louis in 1999. He currently works as an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager for the Metal Container Corporation in Arnold, MO.

Ray has been married for 19 years and has two wonderful daughters. His main hobby is supporting his childrens' dancing careers, which started when they were only three years old. Ray's wife is a talented jewelry designer and is a constant inspiration for him to expand his abilities and knowledge about the techniques used in the fabrication of jewelry and jewelry components.

In 2004, Ray's wife became interested in glass beads, so Ray bought her a starter kit from a local craft store. Since Ray's wife was nervous about using MAPP gas, she had him help her get started. After making one bead, Ray was hooked. His wife, on the other hand, is still too nervous, so Ray just continued making beads!

Ray, currently does not sell his work on any auctions sites, however, you can find his work available for purchase at the SLLS annual bead show. He is also working on a website, which may sell his work in the future.
